Nah, this is actually 1-2 years old at this point. I need to look up the Glagolitic Script and import some characters.
Or rather, what I need to do is get a pen and paper out and start drawing random symbols, because existing scripts can’t translate what I have in mind.

Okay, this is proving a bit difficult. I’m thinking of just going through the list and figuring out what characters I want for my language.
The problem wtih Carantic is that there’s no certainty. Characters often look different, because aesthetics matter more than information.

Languages don’t have to use words!
The Victorians had a flower language. It was so well developed that you could actually send someone an “insult bouquet”!
each flower represented something, and then every combination represented something on top of that
They also had fan language, using handheld fans to communicate (by fans, I mean those pie-slice-shaped ones, the ones that expand and fold). If you were in a ballroom, but wanted to flirt with your forbidden love, you could say very lewd things to someone with your fan! And no one would know 
These ones seem perfect for the type of person who is obsessed with aesthetics and even then, if we take it more broadly, fashion is a language.why not take that literally?
if you’re interested, look into the Victorian ones hehe. You can steal them, and they can give you a good idea of how fashion language can work

I already have string language that’s popular in some steppe tribes; you have a little device that has a lot of strings attached to it, and the strings have knots at various points, and where exactly the knots are can convey information.
Earlier this was just one interesting mode of communication, but that eventually led to punched-cards in my world, and then ultimately QR codes.

While designing Alendi as a language, I saw a natural pattern emerge: everyday words are in Slavic-adjacent (sekyra, grad/goroda, slava, žnaj), but more philosophical words are Sanskrit (mitra, bhumi, sarvam, ašte, šunj, dharma, satja, kaal).
As per my lore, the Alendi are a tribe of the Mínjar Clan, who reside mainly in Alímar, so it’s pretty inferrable that Alendi itself is a dialect of the Mínjar language. However, the specialty of Alímar is not that it’s a different planet, but rather a different loka, one slightly higher up on the Cosmic Ladder. And Alímar is ruled by the Líndär, who are themselves a dharmic people.
So, I’m wondering if it makes sense or not to say this… what is High Líndär is basically Sanskrit? And Old Mínjar was Russian? So when the modern Mínjar language came about, it was formed of a fusion of Mínjar and Líndär, leading to its modern Russo-Sanskrit sound?
Now I’m also wondering, what would have happened if the Rus’ had not picked Orthodox Christianity as their main religion, but rather Hinduism? (except Hinduism wasn’t the way it is today, it was probably 4-5 different macro-religions and thousands of micro-religions, but still)

I wonder if I should write off my presence at the protest as military work.
People are being beaten and tear-gassed, emergency has been declared, and there is an active risk of death, though so far only two people have died (I think).
I remember a dream I had a few months back where Sonam Wangchuk had died, and that made me genuinely upset.
Give me some sunshine, give me some rain; give me another chance, I wanna grow up once again.

Just a disclaimer: I didn’t go there. I had work, but my brother went. He said it’s really fun, so I’m asking him to take me next time.
