Well, I have these keywords. And I already wrote a bit of the story before but I have to scrap most of it because I deleted an entire major character.
What I have is a character, an idea for the beginning… and a vague idea for the end. Usually I have some idea for the middle, but this time, I have nothing
Oh, I do have a cover I made a while back. I don’t like the tagline anymore, but I think the title stays.
I should be thinking about editing, but the feel of autumn is giving me the feel of NaNo and it’s almost like 'tis the season, I gotta WRITE next month. It’s like the feeling I get when all the Christmas music is playing and it’s in the air.
Max joins the Aztec Hearts, a support club of the Vaqueros as a Prospect. One night on a run, he gets kidnapped and his life is threatened by a local gang who are rivals to the Hearts. Max’s life is spared when he is forced to go undercover for the gang to collect intel. He gets found out and almost dies. It sparks a conflict between the Hearts, Vaqueros, and the gang.
PLOT POINTS:
The Hook: Introduce us to Max having a conflict at the party with the Aztec Hearts at the Vaqueros Club House when he meets them. Miguel talks to the leader of the Hearts, Big Ange, and we are also introduced to the main characters of The Hearts.
Plot Turn 1: Big Ange and Miguel reach an agreement, and Max transfers over to their club from the Vaqueros after being patched in. They have a party. Max becomes a new recruit, and he starts to run missions for the Hearts to show his loyalty. In one of the missions, Max is delivering drugs as a part of a peace deal between a rival gang.
Pinch 1: In a turn of events, Max gets kidnapped when it goes wrong, during a deal with a rival gang who they are meant to have peace with. Turns out that Gonzo and Voodoo had broken the peace a week previous and they wanted revenge for it. He is held hostage for a while until an agreement is made.
Midpoint: Max is freed, under the condition that he spies on the Hearts and keeps an eye on them for any up-and-coming conflicts. He is sworn to secrecy. He begins to report back in private to the leader of the rival gang. They start to build up a repertoire. In the meantime, their rivalry builds back up again.
Pinch 2: Gonzo finds Max talking with the rival leader, and he roughs him up and brings him back to the clubhouse tied up. There is a club meeting called and Max is grilled. He admits that he is giving them fake information. He is spared.
Plot Turn 2: Realizing that the time and place is wrong, the rivals don’t turn up. At a meeting they had, it is revealed tbat Gonzo is actually the rat. He was there to sell them out for money, and that’s where he found Max. Gonzo is killed, and Voodo is the new VP.
Not Resolution/Cliffhanger: Once the rival realizes that they are not coming, they invade the clubhouse and start a war. A fight breaks out, and several Hearts end up dying. It ends on a reshuffle of the club.
Sounds like an action/adventure film! Looks good so far, and good for you working out all the plot points like this. I wish I could do that with mine! ٩(˘◡˘)۶
ha ha i’m like 5 chapters away from finishing the wip i was gonna do for nano so i guess i don’t have a nano project planned and i’m going into nano a little burnt out probably because there’s no way i’m starting it before finishing this heap of barely cohesive words
both, i’m focusing on the wip rn before nano, and i’ll whip out a nano project when the time comes.
i had a project i wanted to do for nano, but i thought there was a lot more work left on my wip and there was no way i would be able to do both the wip and a nano project (and school and work). but now it looks like the wip will be done before nano. i’ll have to scramble a bit but…
