Her parents. All that power came from her parents/creators. She took all the powers of both her mother and father and killed them.
No. Nirvana and Genesis CAN NOT destroy each other. Genesis needs Nirvana as much as Nirvana needs Genesis. I’m trying to go with the whole Yin and Yang thing.
Genesis lies within Nirvana. So, it’s the whole good lies within evil type thing. However, Genesis can break free and separate from Nirvana in order to “stop” her.
Yet the real question is: how can I release or rather how do I have Genesis break free and “stop” Nirvana?
I’ve thought about it and it come to my attention that Nirvana has to do something where she has completely gone off the deep end and lost her way that she needs to be stopped.
At the end of the day, Nirvana is only “evil” because she realizes that she is WAY TOO powerful and can’t be stopped. So, she causes mayhem and destruction in order to break Genesis free so that Genesis can “stop” her and go toe to toe with her.
Ok so remember how I said magic is tied to your soul and granted by Meiste itself. Well there’s a twist because Meiste is also a divine entity—aka They’re (pronoun: Proij in Ipol, sort of like capital-H “He” in English) a character. Meiste has no name other than Meiste, but does have a manifestation, which hasn’t been seen for some thousand years.
And yeah, Meiste was always that powerful, since They also control the Spiritual Realm.
And if they lost all that power? Well, since Meiste’s magic is the only thing keeping it from collapsing in on itself… The planet would collapse in on itself.
But there are the Six Heroes who are arguably more interesting.
Interesting… so the planet itself will be completely destroyed? Like a black hole?
I haven’t asked you a question specifically about them yet, I realized. So, we have Hero of Life, Hero of Mind, Hero of Doom… who else? You mentioned names before…Izi, Tagif, Hota… Give me a list of names and roles.
Well, it’ll be crunched down to half the size and rendered uninhabitable. It’s a literal magic force that’s keeping the planet from collapsing in on itself.
Hehe
Alright so there are six Magical Aspects: cognition, mind, doom, earth, language, life. For each of those there is one Hero. There are three “old Heroes” and three “new heroes,” so named because the old Heroes came about 950 years before the new Heroes.
Anyways the old Heroes are:
Dr. Eheste Lozerief: Hero of Earth, dubbed Meistezon <== also the first Hero
Az Pagjom: Hero of Language, dubbed Iboezon
Ihine Dolgof: Hero of Life, dubbed Lozoezon
And the new Heroes are:
Az Hotautebz: Hero of Mind, dubbed Eiboezon, nicknamed “Hota.”
King In Iziser: Hero of Cognition, dubbed Emeistezon (also Ihine Dolgof’s son and Tagif’s sister) nicknamed “Izi”.
Princess In Taguchif: Hero of Doom, dubbed Elozoezon (also Izi’s sister and Dolgof’s daughter) nicknamed “Tagif”.
There’s also alignment of magic which has to do with magic theory and… oops there are several colleges devoted to teaching magic whoops.
I’ll return later to ask more questions, but this reminded me of how the Guardians work in Elgana. There’s Zero Generation and then First Generation so far. It’s not a 950-year gap between them, however Elgana is a lot younger than Meiste.
Well, it’s a little unclear because some from Zero stayed on until the next prospects were discovered. Each Guardian receives extra powers from a gem. Zero Generation came out 100 years into Elgana’s existence. If you count that as Zero Generation Year 1, it wasn’t until 200 years later that the emerald found its successor, and not until 500 years later that the sapphire found its successor.
The variation of years is based on if the current holder has become corrupt or not. It’s a tricky thing with these gems. They hold bits and pieces of the Chief Guardian’s powers and essence and are a little bit sentient and can be affected by corruption. If they are affected by corruption, they naturally find a gem holder to be purified.
(holder or keeper, depends on who you ask)
So, the citrine is the gem for justice and if the Guardian did some injustice thing, the gem would naturally move on to a holder, aiding them in their justice, and when that is fulfilled, it would move on to the next holder until it’s purified. By that time, hundreds of years can pass.
I’m still around I’m not dead I promise! Just swamped in schoolwork
Are there multiple gems? Do Guardians hold their gems? If not, who holds them?
oh yeah sounds like it
sans the “what is just/what is not” question, how does a gem decide when it needs to be purified?
Ok so Meiste’s kinda weird:
Meiste is unstable with just one or two Heroes realized because the balance of realized Heroes to unrealized Heroes is 1:5 or 2:4, both of which are very skewed to one side. So after Lozerief was realized, the ratio became 3:3, meaning a pseudo-stability for magic in Meiste for a very long time–about nine hundred and sixty years. So after Hotautebz–Hero of Mind–was realized, the ratio slipped back to 4:2, prompting the realization of In Iziser, who made the ratio 5:1. So over the period of just a few months, the ratio slipped finally to 6:0.
A Hero is chosen by Meiste to wield the purest form of the magic which aligns with their soul–although magic theorists in Meiste never quite reached this answer. It’s super loose; I’m too lazy to make it concrete without raising more questions, and I think it defeats the purpose to say that Heroes inherit power or gain it by being moral or something.
Darn schoolwork! I was hoping you hadn’t turned into schoolwork corpse yet.
There are seven in total. They are collectively called the Seven Stones of the Seven Guardians or the Seven Stones. Guardians must have the gem on their person at all times. Necklace, bracelet, ring, chain, are the most common, however, some gems come without those things which could have been lost at some point. The Guardians might fashion jewelry themselves, or keep the gem in their pocket.
Well, one thing the Chief Guardian can say is that if he reaches out to a gem to feel it, he can tell if some ugly corrupted power is inside of it. But how does the gem know? He doesn’t know how.
Okay, so Meiste.
Idk if this gets into the part you haven’t thought of yet, but lemme try:
You said when Lozerief was realized there was a period of stability in magic for 960 years. What prompted Hotautebz Hero of Mind to be realized? Or, does anything prompt Hotautebz to be realized?
Also, in Meiste, what does it mean for magic to be stable for a long period of time? How does that appear in everyday life or to people who use magic?
Magic jewel! I like it. Do they all look different? Do they change appearances?
Yeah so moments of extremity can often trigger it–for Hota, it’s getting kicked out for coming out as “nonbinary” (Ytos magumy meaning “gender nonconforming” roughly.) In English they use they/them pronouns.
It mostly pertains to the literal holding-together of Meiste itself, since magic is the thing holding Meiste together. If Meiste’s magic is off-balance, then it could mean weaker magic for everyone, which might put a halt to things. It might also give people random pains that can’t be medically diagnosed since it’s literally relating to people’s souls. Haven’t thought that much.
Well, we’ve got a sapphire, emerald, moonstone, citrine… yep, they all look different. No, they don’t change appearances. But if it was in a necklace that broke, someone would put it in a new one.
You need some kind of soul healer for when that happens
