Oh. And you’re Russian, so used to winters.

Now I’m wondering what it’ll be when I go to Germany.

Woah!

Is this why Victorians are characterised as prudish?

You must just be freezing cold all the time??? :joy: I’ve never known anyone rocking winter clothes in the summer. If it’s 10c at night or whatever maaaaaaybe, but 20c+ is not winter clothing weather for me :sob:

Yeah, I noticed just now. I guess in Greece you had people wearing togas and linen tunics with no pants for much of the classical age, so it can’t be that cold.

Lmao now I can’t get the idea of ancient Greek men going about their day with their gooch out outta my head

Yes. I always laugh when people say 15C is cold because I’ve seen so much worse

For example: it’s 20c out today. My gf was wearing long pants and a sweater in the morning :person_facepalming: and she even stole my sweater because she doesn’t have her own lol

yes :joy: otherwise we’d have zero pastel purple highlighters on the earth :sob:

No, rn is the exception. Last year it was eh, it was 17C on average? But keep in mind that includes day AND night. So the majority of the day it was around 10-15C depending on the day.

also the one thing you forget is rain. Irish rain is a special type of torture… it make 15C feel like 5C :sob: (esp if you include the strong wind :joy:)

Fair point. I don’t mean to say that it’s the ONLY thing that changed fashion. It is a very big factor tho.

No. The prudishness came from wanting to control women as second class citizens. If they had range of motion, they could fight back… and what man likes that? Esp when they’d been oppressed for the last 1000 years

I think you can imagine how hard the people would hit back lmao

Women didn’t wear underwear from the start of the Middle Ages until the 1800s… they were full commando under those insane dresses

They actually did.

Nudity wasn’t taboo for most of human history, though Ancient Greeks did consider the glans so. So if you go to Ancient Greece and are circumcised, don’t be naked.

I’m from a subtropical country, and that too the lowlands, so for me good temperature is around 20-30°C. Anything above that is hot, and anything below that is cold.

Wow. Where can I get a cute BF/GF who will steal my hoodies and sweaters?

Also your sweater fits her?

Ah, that’s interesting. Makes me wonder if it’ll happen again in the future if humans are left in charge.

I’m thinking of drawing some female characters, so I will need to decide what clothes to give them.

Outside the house? :person_shrugging: have you tried socializing?

Oof. I’ll see what it’s like when I’m in Germany (or Canada). Maybe I’ll become a cold weather critter. I have plenty of muscle mass (and fat), so I can probably adapt quickly.

They don’t exist here. That’s the disadvantage of living in a third world country.

When I imagine you, I imagine a tiny chaos gremlin who’s barely tall enough to reach my shoulders.

Yeah, but since I’m creating the culture itself, I don’t know what fits.

Hell, Siberia?

you’ll freeze, curse your adventurousness, and then save up to buy a Canada goose coat. No kidding
