Halloween is almost here in two weeks. Anybody watching spooky, scary movies?

Well, are you watching scary movies this month or on Halloween? If you are watching scary movies, which movie did you watch last/recently this month? I will even accept horror novels and television shows as well.

My Turn:
I haven’t been watching any horror films yet, but I will be doing that over the weekend along with writing a horror short story just to pass the time. I’m probably going to start with watching my favorite horror films then move on to something new.

Thoughts and feelings?

I’m going to try and convince my Brobot to watch Noiroi: The Curse with me. Genuinely WTF ending.

Awesome!

What other horror films are you going to watch if you are going to watch any?

Does the Live Action Cat in the Hat count?

I haven’t seen any, though I might.

I know I’ll have the Halloween movies on while I pass out candy.

That’s good. It’s something at least.

Nope! I hate scary movies, although The Sixth Sense was brilliant. My go-to movies for the month are:

Young Frankenstein
The Ghost and Mr. Chicken
Munster Go Home
Hotel Transylvania (all of them)
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University
Nightmare Before Christmas
Ghostbusters
Arsenic and Old Lace
all the Abbott & Costello movies where they meet monsters

Gonna try to read some gothic novels too. (ღ˘ᴗ˘ღ)

What? No Hocus Pocus?

Just kidding by the way.

I watched all of Wayward (a show), No Good Deed, started but didn’t finish two movies on Prime last night that were awful (Like Dogs and something Pendle). I normally have a pretty specific selection but I tried new things this year and was sorely disappointed. I’ll go back to Hell House tonight haha

Hell House is a television channel?

It’s a series of movies

Oops! Why did I think it was a television channel?

That would be a cool name for a television channel that only shows horror movies and films though.

I’ve never seen that one! I’ve never seen Corpse Bride either, but I hear it’s good.

There’s Shudder (like Netflix, but horror)! I love Shudder, they haven’t added a single bad movie

I’ve never seen Corpse Bride, but I have seen Hocus Pocus 1. There is a second Hocus Pocus film, I just haven’t seen it.

I’ve heard of Corpse Bride, just never watched it.

Did you think it was like HGTV for goths or something?

It is very good, you should watch it.

I’m taking a horror film class so I’ve been watching plenty:

The Babadook
The Fly (1986)
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
It Follows
(and I was supposed to watch The Bride of Frankenstein but I didn’t because I was lazy)

I’ve also recently watched

As Above, So Below
The Poughkeepsie Tapes
Cuckoo
Bring Her Back
