I am still setting up the story I have on there. It’s Project Glorious (the title is Red Reign: Beyond a new Horizon actually), but it’s the first draft that I am still working on in Google Docs. I will put it on Wattpad soon enough. I just want to get my thoughts together and work on the chapters on Google Docs, before putting it on Wattpad. I work better that way.
Project Glorious is the story I believe would do fairly well in self-publishing.
Anything you want to mention to me or say in regards to me going back to Wattpad?
Congratulations! I hope you get a lot of reads and adds once you post your story, but remember it takes some time for the algorithm to pick you up so don’t be too impatient. It’s all about the long game. I think you’ve made the right choice for getting visibility. The other sites don’t seem to have even half the readers that Wattpad does. (੭ˊᵕˋ)੭‧˚₊・*̥✧
So, Wattpad thrives on consistent uploads (not every day, but consistently scheduled) if you want to get good traction. If you want to do read for reads with people, I can recommend some active, not-too-demanding book clubs / writer clubs on there, so let me know
Don’t have much advise outside of what Enna said, its a good place to get some eyes on your work (and feedback, if you’re up for book clubs or reviews)
Btw, if you want to use the cover I made on Wattpad, you can do that, but you’ll have to credit me as “Cover made by TheTigerWriter” in the book’s description.
I am still sprucing it up. I am still working on the chapters on Google Docs, because I am comfortable writing there. I will copy-and-paste with some editing and revising for Wattpad.
I feel comfortable doing it that way. I know I said I was going to do ten chapters first, but I am going to do a prologue and five chapters, then put it on Wattpad.
The novel is written in a slightly edited first draft. The only gripes are the tenses of the narrative, which is screwy because I am horrible at figuring out which tense I want to write and stick with.
I am writing about what’s happening now, but I struggle with staying true to that tense. So, I am going to say that it’s in the past tense, NOT present tense.
I am NOT trying to do both, I suck at trying to do one right.
I am going to copy-and-paste from what I have now to spruce things up in Wattpad.
