So, I tried a book jacket situation again. This time, I didn’t make the spine so fat XD

Also, I decided to design it as far as I could and then have a book designer work with the details of margins and stuff because I’m sure to mess it up. I’ll leave the details to the pros. But with this, at least they would know what I’m going for, right? I hope so

But anyway, I have no idea what to do with spine color.
Cluless.
I’ve been staring at other spines and…eh… The theme colors of the book are orange, blue, and purple. But idk if the purple works…

Try making the author name on the spine orange, maybe?

I think it really good already though—you can try putting it on a mock-up to see how it is.

@korralistic I like how cold Hinter Land looks and the author name in the snow is cool, but a little hard to find unless you’re looking for it. Maybe it could still be written in the snow, but stand out a little more?

I like the first version better. The second spine looks like you cut out bits and pieces of the front cover amd pasted there o.o

Is there any way to maybe connect the design from the front cover instead so that the whole thing kind of looks like a single image?

I think there’s a way. I just don’t know how yet with my limited skills. I tried to like…bleed it in, but the sizing wasn’t cooperating I’ll figure it out. I do want to bleed the front cover into the spine like so many books do.

thanks for pointing that out! i’d care more if it was made for someone else, but jade is me - that’s a cover for my own novel! and i personally don’t care if people see if i’m the author or not, so i’m not too worried about it! ^^ but thank you for pointing it out - i’d fix it otherwise :]
