The organization is called the Knighthood Union Alliance or K.U.A for short.
The KUA is an organization of Knights who help the world (Alagossia) with their issues; like search and rescue, ending wars, bodyguard work, lending aid, and taking on odd jobs to help the locals.
There are three tiers high, middle, low tier. The low tier is for trainee Knights who will soon enter the middle tier to take on missions. The high tier is for much higher ranked Knights, like the Knight King and Knight Lord and Master Knights.
The reason why they are called Knights instead of something else was because of what it was originally meant for. Originally, Alagossia had a singular monarch and the KUA was an organization created in response to that and helping the people.
So, having knights was a nod to what medieval fantasy is like. The story is NOT set in a medieval fantasy setting, it is science-fantasy. Having Knights are the only thing medieval that I have and the KUA is not for your typical sword-wielding, horse-riding, and shiny armor wearing Knights.
They are Knights but at the same time they are not. So, because of that I am stuck on whether or not my fictional world needs this KUA since I changed things with my world-building of Alagossia.
TL:DR:I have an organization of Knights which may no longer fit in my world and probably needs more fleshing out.
Ooops! I thought it was medieval since you often mention knights and saints. Maybe you should invent new terms for those things so your readers don’t get confused…?
what challenges do the KUA have considering the world is so different from when they’ve been founded?
what challenges/ issues do the tiers have with each other?
what challenges issues do knights in each tier?
Sounds good. You have to work out the details. Who’s the leader? Are they independent, or do they answer to a monarch? How much political power & sway do they have over the world? Are they a neutral body, or do they have a hidden agenda? Who do they fight? What weapons do they fight with? What is the recruitment process? Can anyone join? What privileges do each tier afford?
When you say Knighthood Union, I’m thinking a Monty Python style romp about a Marxist awakening among medieval knights and the teething pains of trying to unionise those haughty peacocks and oafs. (Somebody write this neoww!! Well actually I might).
some people like to think of creativity as problem solving but it sounds like that approach doesn’t interest you?
so like instead of waiting for inspiration to strike you look at a problem and ask yourself how would i solve it/ could i and try different things.
The Knight King isn’t actual royalty, but it is a title for those who are in charge of the organization. They are an independent organization.
This is a tricky question. This organization isn’t governmental, but they are privately funded by some wealthy families. This organization was founded by a wealthy family, though the organization is back funded by some government officials. They have plenty of sway over the world, as the world looks to them for support and aid.
They are neutral.
Nobody.
There is no fighting.
Anybody can become a Knight. They just have to take a two week exam that tests their mental and physical skills along with magic too.
Plenty, though not as much as one would think. They are also infamous for purging nations that get caught up in wars, national or civil. Though the moment they stopped purging nations, some nations are still unsure about them. At the same time, they help nations with problems that are too much for them.
if you like going the inspiration route then consume media that is similar to what you want to write. you said you enjoy manga i think so mangas that overlap with different aspects of your story or the part you are stuck in can be a way to approach it
