I used to write a series about a country plagued with witch hunters targeting witches/societal outcasts. A secret band of outlaw witches and pirates were leading the rebellion against the tyrannical religious government. Had quite a bit of medieval torture elements and death and such. I wasn’t so good at world building back then, though. I’d love to revisit it now with the writing experience I’ve gained.

I did! I wrote an essay about the European witch hunts in high school and that’s what started it all. I still have tons of books on it and a full Pinterest board for research and the story. And in watching Critical Role, it’s taught me a lot about world building.

That’s great! I am slowly picking my story about a summoning of demons during a Battle of the Bands competition, and it’s all types of crazy, but it has me very interested in watching old interviews and stuff about Billy Idol and the Sex Pistols for the personalities and aesthetics the characters would be inspired by.

Dez goes on a road trip to Vegas from L.A, where he’s having a vacation and he gets lost in the desert on the way there cause he’s an idiot. It would be called Dez’s Desert Disaster? Or Just Dez-erts? lol

Yeah, I am a fan of them, and they are very iconic. I really like that era of music and how the fun of it seemed more about cresting stuff they liked. Stuff today seems too polished and corporate for cashgrabs idk. It could be the nostalgic gloss.
