I recently hung out with my boyfriend’s sister and her friends and they reminisced on songs that came out “way back in junior high!!” insert drunk girl noises

For real though. Okay, like, were you in any way shape or form able to be a parent at 22 or 23? Because I KNOW I was a freaking hot mess who couldn’t even take care of myself. And I was always mature for my age. The concept of being a parent at that age is just… bizarre to me. They are literally kids having kids.

34 here and still not ready for it. Never wanted it, either. This is what I mean. These people in their early 20s having kids… I don’t get it. You barely know yourself at that point.

I knew someone and they were like 15-16 when they had a kid. Kid’s prolly nearly 13 now lol.

Wow!! A friend of mine had her first at like 18. That kid is in junior high now. (Grade 7). It’s wild to me. Okay first, in general, I don’t see the appeal of parenthood, but fresh out of high school? You never get a life of your own at that point.

On a happier note, it felt nice to bake today. I haven’t done so in a while because summer was so hot but I love fall because Halloween and baking season.
