Night Owl Hotel

I am finally sitting down to write! It was a long day. We had the first snowfall of the year so driving around for work today was a bit anxiety-inducing. Otherwise, it was a good day. Going to go have a bubble bath soon. How have you been?

Now that I am older, I think that snow sucks. There, I said it :joy:

I’d rather it be mild, and sunny with a light breeze than snow.

I actually don’t mind winter, despite the fact I hate Christmas and the entire holiday season after Halloween. But I also like that mild sunny weather. I like rain as well. The only thing I really hate is extreme heat or extreme cold. Otherwise, I don’t mind much of the weather. As I get older, I figure there are worse things to be miserable about than snowflakes or rain.

I listened to Inna Gadda Da Vida recently and I think I should attempt poetry.

Inna Gadda Da Vida, Honey.

That was originally meant to be In The Garden of Eden but the original singer was drunk or something and it came out as Inna gadda da vida and they kept it.

Do it. Follow the call. Poetry is fun.

That’s not a bad thing! We had a good 15-20 cm of snow for the first snowfall this year. Bit of a shock to the system after having such a lovely mild autumn. I barely got my gardens cleaned out in time lol

Yes, Canada is basically a more extreme Ireland, weather wise isn’t it?

But yeah, when the weather jumps from being lovely and then to cold and wet fast, that annoys me. Shocks my system lol.

Basically, yes. Hot summers, cold winters, mild spring and autumn if we get them at all. Most times it jumps wildly between summer and winter lol I agree, it is a shock to the system when the season changes. I wasn’t ready at all for the snow.

Yeah, I want to live somewhere that has an eternal spring climate though lol.

I love both autumn and spring. Spring is the start of gardening season, everything turns green and every colour, the sun is shining, it’s the first warmth in months after winter, and the world comes back to life. It’s the season of beauty, rebirth, and all things new. But autumn - it’s that last final beauty before everything dies, and as everything dies, it all comes to life with a different color palette from spring. It’s the season of Halloween and all things spooky. Both are so magical.

You and Vivaldi would get along well. Spring and Autumn are gentle pieces, while Summer and Winter are stormy

That’s a lot. We don’t even get that much at the best of times tbh.
