Night Owl Hotel

Sorry to hear. Covid or any cold sucks. I hope you’re feeling better.

it was definately Covid. He had it bad enough to be flu-like, and it takes a couple of days for Dragon Breath (peculiar burning sinuses) and can’t smell anything to set in. But we’re out of the infect everything stage, so, it’s cool.

My husband 1st drafted 2 novellas while under. lol

Covid is awful. I had it three times and my doctor is pretty sure it’s given me permanent lung damage on top of my asthma so that’s fun.

Good on him

It does. I miss being able to breathe.

It reminds me of an old medical ad against smoking:

Once when I had a bad case of the flu, I wrote a short story in like an hour.

I always enjoy the randomness of your replies  That sounds like a challenge! I am okay. Haven’t written much tonight, got a blog post up, did some authory stuff to prep for a book festival I want to appear at to sell some books, and about to make dinner.

Yes, it is definitely a challenge. If you wondering how I was inspired, I was listening to this song, and it made me think of something Shakespearean happening in Colombia for some really random, strange reason:

At least you wrote something worthwhile. :joy: And you are organized.

Having anything nice to eat?

That mash up could be a very intriguing concept!

Well, I am organizing this with only a few weeks to go and need to hope my author copies come in the mail on time so we’ll see

I am making mac and cheese with spicy meatballs.

Why? :stuck_out_tongue:

Only a few weeks to go? :joy: Better than me with a FEW hours to go!

Send me some?

I will do anything but Romeo and Juliet. I am so sick of that. :joy:

Fair enough. I went down a rabbit hole about LASD gangs (LA Sherrif Department Gangs) and now Colombian Shakespeare. Is that interesting enough? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

:stuck_out_tongue: I am last minute stale Churro!

Noms it hard

Oh, I know. I grew up with his work - my grandfather was a huge fan.

THIS WAS ONE OF MY RECENT RABBIT HOLES TOO. Isn’t that stuff wild??

Yes :joy: I went from a TV show, to LASD that’s how I got there.

I am always hungry.

I found a book about it in a used book store. Went into wild details about the LAPD in the 90s and I began looking into whether they’re still so corrupt now and apparently they are. But it also doesn’t really surprise me after learning how terrible skid row in LA has gotten too and just continues to deteriorate.

Low key, same.
