Yours has a sensual murder? Over The Moon has a dude whoās high and hallucinating everything and discussing Jesusā ethnicity 
As long as the murder makes sense in the context of the story, you should be good I think.

After being sick for the whole week (and annoyed that I was too sick to use that spare time to write), Iām finally well enough. Back on track.
Itās funny. For a moment there, I was worried that my story wouldnāt reach 20k, but as of today, I published 18k already and there are still a few chapters left to be written. So weāre looking at closer to 25k total estimate. A very nice size. I like that. Short books are easy to edit.
But overall, Iām getting close to the end. If the writing muse is kind to me and my symptoms donāt get worse again, I might evenā¦ Dare I say it? Dare I say it? Iāll say it. I could finish it this weekend. omg
Hehe. Thatās very optimistic.
But actually, thereās this weird thing going on with work. Since I was out over 3 days, they require a bunch of paperwork filled out and HR put in writing that theyāre expecting me back to work on Tuesday. I think Iāll be well enough to work on Monday, but I wonderā¦ Should I use my energy to write that day instead? Iām tempted to just take them up on this āopportunityā and extend my weekend enough to finish this book.

When ill, and not in dire financial straits, do whatās needed for rest. Writing is rest, generally.
Yeah. Thatās what Iām thinking. I used up all my PTO and one vacation day. Iām eligible for FMLA which would be unpaid.
I donāt want to burn through more vacation days but one unpaid day is no biggie.

Iām excited.
Thereās a scene coming up in my story that I wasnāt sure how I would pull of. I was missing some essential worldbuilding details. I started a new post to ask the folks here for help brainstorming, and as usual, I figured it out while writing all that.
Itās simple and dramatic and should be easy to describe but also itās cool and I donāt think Iāve seen anything like it elsewhere so Iām psyched. I want to write it already. Yay.

Does anyone want me to line edit their ONC ahead of the first deadline? I usually offer an ONC editing service but Iām a bit late to the party this year so thought Iād just hop on this thread. Thatās a lot for you. I wrote 200K last year, and a good chunk of that was in those 3 months. I know I can hang with 100K, but I donāt know about much more than that.

It is a lot for me so I am thinking of sticking to the four stories I originally had planning. 200k is a lot. Youāre basically writing a saga fantasy book in 3 months. 100k is probably a lot of peopleās breaking point, to be honest.
I had an idea for Julio and another character for the see you in the afterlife prompt, but I am already writing four other stories, so I might leave him for the Wattys, or another time. I am focusing on ginger and the cowboy at the moment. And I need to do more Project C.

I had this same problem with a scene in my story. I took a break from it because one I was tired and two, I didnāt know where to go from there. I like to take a small break every now and then but I also love to brainstorm in between breaks.
