They thoroughly deserve each other ~ John Clarke, The Games.
I’ve seen those mysterious beautiful stairs before! I wrote a poem inspired by it
Eryn giggles.
They are certainly memorable.
Just realised near the end of chapter four, Freyja hugs Dov for the first time* to show her appreciation for Dov helping Freyja to read and understand the dictionaries (extended English Oxfords) and, as a result, helping Freyja to control / calm the countless words bouncing around her mind. This has caused extreme pain and confusion before. However, I now need to go back and emphasise the importance of Dov’s assistance, and Freyja’s immense relief and gratitude. Oh, Dov still has yet to give Freyja a proper hug. The other characters might be growing inpatient about that.
*Freyja hugged Dov twice before but she was either in a medical coma or asleep (or being carried out of a tumbling surf). So those don’t count.
~4,100 words…Might be the longest chapter draft I’ve crafted yet…A time when a lot and not much happened.
This 100% sounds like dialogue from Dragonball Z Fighters. I need to introduce you to Dragonball for the New Year.
In other news, Colombus has gotten his two bodyguards for his journey, but in truth it was all part of the plan by the evil banana to send monkeys to the desert to starve to death. OK, not really, but Miss Felicity is going have a massive weight lifted off her shoulders.
I had a look at the first episode but it wasn’t really all that interesting
The one where a teenage girls shoots a boy in the face?
Honestly, I hardly remember it. That’s how uninterested I was ;-;
You astound me, Alenatenjo.
Everyone has their own tastes. I had a look and it wasn’t to mine. Simple as that
Elizabeth realizes she’s a lesbian after meeting with a woman from the future (Elizabeth lives in the 19th Century, but she’s the time traveller, not the woman from the future)
And everyone is wondering, if Alexander invented Time Travel in 1881, why is Time Travel not a thing in the 22nd Century? Is Alexander the only person who made it in all of history, and will never share it for some reason?
Amneris frowned. “That can’t be good.”
“Should we be worried?”
“Probably, but this is a very inconvenient time for that.
not even ten seconds later
(about a phone call)
“Huh. Guess we’re out of range. Really hope that wasn’t important . . .”
“What are the chances of that?” Colt asked.
Amneris shrugged. “Probably quite high."
Because priorities
Diego’s main argument as to why he should be allowed to stay in the orphanage, which Marta reluctantly agrees with
If he wasn’t her sworn enemy, killer, and a known lunatic, she may have admired his dedication to the cause.
Anjan is wondering who else is supposed to come and meet the Sovereign and he’s already pulling his usual tricks in the presence of others, without giving away too much. Before that he arrived back at the palace, to get constant stares from people in working in the palace because they weren’t expecting him to return after leaving six years ago.
He is already annoyed by the fact that there’s more to come and not just from today.
A quite adult joke:
Stephen put his elbow up on his mate’s shoulder, “Well, what about my hands?”
“Keep them off me or our first time will be a full-course of BDSM exploration.”
“Ew,” my mate grumbled. “We are Alphas, not Doms.”
“Speak for yourself, dude.” Axel Tempest strode out from under Stephen’s arm, as the wind briefly whipped in contrast to its steady Easterly flow away from the Rockies. “I get to beat the Patriarchy and get off.”
Editing and coming across great lines
“Advice: Don’t run head first into a metal door. Stupid idea.”
“That came later, of course. Years later. At sixteen my father had other things on his mind. Like the girl next door. Her name was Louisa, and he fell madly in love with her. Remember the word mad, for it perfectly encapsulated my father: mad as a mad cow on the Marigold Moors; mad as the marquis of the moon. Mad as Major Marston Montague Meriwether’s maniacal masseuse. He was a lunatic.”
