Out of Context! What happened in your story the last you worked on it?

If they’re trying to get more money in illegal ways, I got an idea. There’s been a lot of news in Japan of people borrowing expensive watches or jewelry from “friends” and then never giving it back because they’ve sold it already. Or people stealing watches from sleeping people on trains or buses.

There was even a failed robbery in broad daylight in an expensive watch store. The young men made a messy getaway and were caught all but one and the ring leader.

I’m working on the fourth draft. The story takes the form of a letter the protagonist writes to his mother, and the last part would be him explaining how hard it was for him to write said letter. He’s also inviting her to talk about it with him after she reads it.

How old is the protagonist?

Yeah, I was sorta thinking of Juan borrowing one of Igor’s chains/watches etc, or asking for the chain back that he gave him, or something and him just selling it on.

I also thought of a failed robbery, or something along those lines.

Yup  there’s a reason why he’s doing it, but it’s funny without the context indeed

Project Succession: Chapter 2, Part 2.

Queen Stephanie reunites with her older brother Mephisto, who was once the monarch of their kingdom, just to reunite with little sister and be a heartless asshole yet again.

They hold a conversation, without anyone’s knowledge. Nothing has changed between them, they still hate each other, Stephanie more so since he doomed the nation and even the family, forcing them to rebuild after him getting taken off the throne.

Mephisto wants to enter his “son” Vlad (actually himself) into the Succession Trials so that he can claim the status as the new monarch.

Yet Stephanie will not allow that to happen.
So, Mephisto is about to be up to his usual tricks once more.

I didn’t make it explicit, but I imagine he’s 22.

More random scribbling and noggin-storming for chapter 5.

Dov and Freyja just completed a timed run of a infantry style obstacle course,* that Karen’s mercenaries had build at the back of her villa’s estate. Before Dov can catch his breath, Krista set him another task. Run the course again while carrying Freyja. Dov can decide whether to carry Freyja on his chest or back for each obstacle, but he must match his previous time or no more challah for the week.

*The obstacle course will be loosely based on this

Dov suspects a hidden chutzpah-laden motive for Krista’s challenge but completes the course anyway, although much slower than before. Dov’s rationale being he knew Freyja can hear his ‘calming’ heartbeat through clothing, so the best way to keep her relaxed and assured (vital since they had no safety harnesses) is to keep his pulse slow and constant. The Drill Sergent Krista rebukes and punishes Dov for his failure, but by the evening a gift-wrapped loaf had materialized unannounced on Dov’s bookcase.

Project Succession: Chapter 2, Part 3-

Aeris (my main character) learns more about her family and the drama beneath it.

She’ll learn much more as time goes on, but for now she is learning the downfall and slight rise of her current family.

Also, she is going to build confidence as a monarch, a person, and a Tirron. So, fake it till she makes it, eventually she will make it, confidentially.

I finished at 2803 words, shorter than part two, but still crucial enough.

I, an oblivious asexual, tried to write a character who is sexually attracted to someone while clueless to what it feels like… it’s not going well

I aslo might need to mention that that someone was just saved from drowning.

Maybe that is why I don’t add romance and sex in my fiction, though I don’t think I am asexual.

I still don’t know my sexuality even at 33 years old…

ooooof.

yeah, I get that. I probably shouldn’t since it’s something very hard for me to write, but at the same time I like shipping people too much to let it stop me.

Not a shipper, so that is another reason.

This happened:

“Can’t stop!” Amneris yelled. “Being chased by a psychopath!”

“What did you do?!” Jay asked, alarmed.

“She pissed him off by stealing a magic leaf,” Colt answered.

Same asexual person. I tried to write a scene like that once and cringed so hard later, I deleted it and gave up. My characters who do fall in love do so in a none sexual way because I do not understand how it even… like I can’t begin to… why am I trying to explain it to you? You know how it is

Good to know  My thoughts immediately go to someone in a concrete dress, but I’m guessing the concrete dress scene is far from the drowning scene.

Project Succession- Chapter 2, Part 4 is done at 3541 words.
(So, I actually did Part 2, Chapter 9 and the word count is currently at 28K for now)

Lisselotte lost her grandfather, her father is going to die slowly while suffering from a horrible infliction, and her long lost half brother Dietrich is the caused, but she does not know that currently. Aeris goes to comfort her cousin, but isn’t sure how to handle it. But she now knows that the road to becoming the next monarch is going to be littered with death and pain.
