Random scribbling for the end scene of my (too long over due) next chapter.
A traumatised Krista attempts to regain control of her world, and reward Dov for his near-fatal loyalty (soon to become a common occurrence), by promoting Dov to the rank of Big Bear. A name only to be used between them, and only until Krista can find a better one. Well, Dov is Hebrew for bear, and he stands 2cm shy of the mythical two-meters.
My character’s just arrived at the Carnival of Venice in the early 1700s, and he’s about to see a ghost. (っ ºДº)っ
Aeris meets a person who is either a friend or foe or an odd mixture in the form of another family member she never knew.
The plot is slowly thickening in a weird way. LOL!
Amneris’ gaze flicked to Chrysanta. “You gonna wish me luck?”
“Luck will be of no use to you here,” Chrysanta said, “but why not. You can use all the help you can get.” She forced a smile. “May Luck take pity on you.”
“Gee, thanks.”
Aeris was lied to and is throwing a fit, but is about to learn what her late mother endured to save the life of her daughter and husband.
I demolished my entire plot and am about to do it again.

My main character was just chased through a city after exposing some con men at a phantasmagoria. But the ghost of a dead king from centuries earlier has saved him by pulling him into a bakery. And they ordered fritters! ლ ლ (˘ᵋ ˘ )
Toying with the idea of Dov giving Krista the nickname Löwin, German for Lioness.
First idea was for Dov to use the nickname Kurnass,* Hebrew for sledgehammer…Krista’s hormone-fueled antics are just as subtle as one…But Krista would likely recoil at the thought, and Polanski (her mum) would caution Dov, the name is logical though also harsh and impersonal, it would only create distance between them. So Dov offers the name Löwin as a compromise. Dov notes when Polanski ruffles the anxious timid Krista’s hair, it looks like a lion’s mane.
*Kurnass is also the name Israel gave it’s fleet of F-4E Phantom jets.

The punching fog thing is weirder to me. I have beings made of light in one of my stories, so it doesn’t sound too weird to me
