Sounds like you’re on a writing roll today
Thank you!
Amneris perked up and grinned. “I have an idea.”
“No,” Jay said immediately.
Amneris pouted. “But I–”
“No.”
“You haven’t even heard what I was going to say!”
Jay leaned down until they were face-to-face. “No.”
From Project Succession:
Aeris wants to contact the Kriegman branch of her family’s dynasty to ask for their help in the fight to claim the throne, but they aren’t being available. Luckily Dorian from the Grayfall branch has come to help Aeris out. So, she’ll be going to the Kriegman’s castle to contact a family member.
Also, she will be returning to the Surface Realm months after leaving. Not only that, Aeris will be seeing the home where her father grew up.

The mc has just learned that the nation’s most famous expat romantic poet went into exile after having a baby with his own sister. (⊙.⊙(-̶●̃ₒ●̶̃)⊙.⊙)
And you don’t want to know what he does with all those exotic animals he keeps in his château. ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ
oh my gosh
I know! You can probably guess which real life poet I’m basing him on… (>‿◠)
Aeris ventured to another country to meet her father’s family, but has only dealt with people being cruel and mean towards her since her entered the nation.
That leaves her pondering what is happening with the Kriegmans and what is going on with them that caused them to become what they are now.
There was a Netflix adaptation of the comic book series The Bellybuttons that ran from 2022 to 2025.
Amneris had given up on conversation with the now sour Deathwalker who had the face of someone coming up with creative ways to kill their enemy. Amneris was very familiar with that face. She got it from Leo every other day – only half the things she did to drive him that far were on purpose. Or not.
What XD
That confused me too. I am wondering if it’s a typo or something.
LOL!
@TheTigerWriter @Qualeshia12 I’m working on a book where each page is about a fictional TV series, and the most recent show that I wrote about is an adaptation of the Canadian comic book series The Bellybuttons.
For some context, here’s the Wikipedia article about the actual comic:
Aeris met her father’s family and she is sicken by how ruthless and horrible they are towards her. She didn’t get her father’s family to lend aid, but she did get an unfamiliar ally and more in the process.
It’s actually called The Bellybuttons It was so out of context, I would have never guessed that was real XD Is it pretty popular irl?
Wow, so it’s a thing.
Thanks so much for letting me know!
Same, same!
@TheTigerWriter It seems like it’s done pretty well.
@Qualeshia12 No problem.
