Out of Context! What happened in your story the last you worked on it?

Pinti is rage. Someone makes her get up. They run and she’s like “He betrayed me!” and doesn’t notice who she’s running with.

She’s not running with the one who betrayed her, but she’s not running with a friend, that’s for sure.

More scribbles for another random scene I thought up. No idea where I should put it. Or if I should use it.

Dov's chill-out time

Freyja knocks on the door of Dov’s bathroom and enters. Freyja discovers Dov submerged up to his shoulders in a bathtub filled with crushed ice and cooler ice packs, and Hannah seated on a chair beside the bath, checking the temperature with a digital thermometer…It’s a few degrees above North Atlantic…Hanna smiles as she scoops more ice slurry from the esky beside her chair, and rubs the ice into Dov’s hair and down his neck.

Freyja asks Hannah why does she enjoy tormenting Dov. Freyja thought they were friends.

Hannah wipes her hand dry on her pants and replies that she is happy. Dov is just like the Australian Commandos she met as a child. Hannah wants Dov to be the same hero for Freyja as the Commandos were for her.

Dov says Hannah is not being cruel. This is how Special Forces members test each other. Dov has to prove to Hannah he is worthy of being trusted, of being her friend.

Freyja glances between Hannah and Dov, then takes off her shirt and jeans and climbs into the bathtub, shivering as she sits opposite Dov submerged up to her neck.

Dov asks Freyja to leave the bath as this test is too dangerous for girls. Freyja replies, when they first met, Dov promised Freyja she would never be alone. So Freyja cannot abandon Dov…and Freyja can be strong, like Dov…

Hannah laughs as she stands, then ruffles Freyja’s hair and leaves the bathroom, stating she will return to check the frozen companions in an hour.

Freyja asks Dov if he ever felt colder than the bath. Dov tells a story about his time in the Commandos, training in the ocean and climbing the Afghan valleys.

Dov tells Freyja, to defeat the cold she should remember when she felt warm and comfortable. Freyja replies she always feels warm when Dov holds her.

Dov motions for Freyja to move to his side of the bath, then he lifts Freyja onto his lap and hugs her for the rest of their test.

Aeris to Annabelle in Project Succession: Chapter 3, Part 2.

Aeris pretty much gained her confidence after having to deal with distant family members who disregard her as the future empress of their nation.

So, she had to show them (mainly Annabelle) that she isn’t one to toy with and won’t allow people to look down on her.

As she said in the last part. “the tea is poured and ready to be served.”

From Project Succession:

Dietrich and Vlad go alone to search for a woman named Evelyn. It turns out, Evelyn is the birth mother to Dietrich. She married Jekyll (Hyde’s son and Lisselotte’s father, but she has a different mother) then left the family mysteriously. Come to find out in the last sentence that Mephisto (Vlad’s father and Hyde’s older brother) married Evelyn at some point. Making Vlad and Dietrich a weird half-brother/cousin type deal.

Royal families are CONFUSING as shit! LOL!

More notes for a scene I need to include in the Tuesday chapter.

Dov's jewellery experiments

Dov and Freyja are in Dov’s bedroom, unpacking several large removal boxes and arranging their content along the bedroom floor to be sorted. As Dov places a stack of hardback books in his bookcase, Freyja retrieves a Tupperware container from her box. Freyja opens the container to discover a bubble-wrapped bundle.

Freyja asks Dov what is inside the bubble wrap. Dov turns to Freyja and remarks her bundle contains his old silver jewellery experiments. Dov motions for Freyja to sit on his bed, and Freyja climbs onto the quilt, sitting cross-legged awaiting Dov’s instructions. Dov unfurls the bundle and places the silver jewellery collection in front of Freyja.

Freyja picks up a chain-linked silver necklace with Viking-pattern links, and remarks the jewellery is very pretty.

Dov shrugs and replies that although the experiments were fun, he didn’t have much artistic talent.

Dov returns to his box, recovers three picture books, and places the books beside Freyja. Dov claims those books taught him how to make the jewellery. Dov sits beside Freyja as she rolls a broad silver ring in her hand, and they talk about how Dov made the necklaces and bracelets.

Dov notices Freyja is most interested in the Viking necklace. So Dov takes the necklace from Freyja’s hands, and fits the necklace around her neck.

Freyja giggles as the heavy links slip beneath her track top, commenting the silver feels soft and cool. Freyja then looks up at Dov and asks why he made the jewellery.

Dov talks about how he tried to use the task of silver smithing (of concentrating only on a specific task) to help manage bad memories and bad dreams, from past trauma. But his plan wasn’t successful.

Freyja hugs Dov and apologizes for reminding him of bad memories.

Dov returns Freyja hug with a light squeeze, and comments if the jewellery can make Freyja smile, then his project may yet be successful. Dov also states since he met Freyja the bad memories don’t bother him, even when he talked about the jewellery.

Dov then offers Freyja a choice of staying on his bed, playing with the jewellery and the picture-instruction books, or she can help Dov unpack the other boxes. Maybe they can find happier memories to talk about.

Freyja smiles and scurries off Dov’s bed, clambering back to the clusters of Dov’s unpacked possessions.
