I am realizing that the books I love from the authors I think are cool aren’t working as I thought.
Their world-building and magic systems are amazing, but the way they write their stories makes it hard to get immersed in, even with some assistance.
Like I love the idea of Cosmere and Westros and Middle Earth, I just need simplistic writing that still feels like fun reading/isn’t making feel too dumb.

I can’t stop thinking about how I started an artist community discord (writers and artists) and its new and every time someone joins they probably think “whoa its empty af here”. It’s really stressful but I want it to be really popular and nice and filled with great artists.
