Yes, the natural posessive and protective part of the equation is what makes it difficult. People don’t explore “love is not enough” as much as they should.
You just say you were once married. The difficult part is trying to explain what they meant to you.

I need to come up with the plot for this story.
Edit: And a title too! I name it Project MH, but I honestly need a much better title than the previous one! So, I prefer to use something instead of Red Reign.
The series name can be Masked Heretic, yet the first book needs a proper title than whatever the last was supposed to be.

Come on, California, we get a lot worse weather than you. You’re freaking out over wind, waves, and rain. We get nearly 10x what you get and more, and you’re all crying over it. You get wet weather and sometimes flooding every winter, and we get rain most of the time. Just chill, stay inside, and don’t be idiots and you’ll be cool.

I feel your pain, but that’s really the only way self-published writers can make any money. I’m trying and trying to think up a series myself, but so far no luck. (ﾉД`)ヽ (ﾉД｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡
You, though, YOU! You could be making moolah with a series if you’d plant your butt in a chair and do it. A series doesn’t have to really be related anymore in the sense of having a shared arc. It can just be a collection of unrelated books that take place in a shared universe. All standalones, that can be read in any order, but part of one universe. Like the Discworld series.
You could do that with the Churroverse and make money, if only you’d self-publish instead of posting it on Wattpad. I need to come up with something like the Churroverse, but my brain is dry at the moment. (ノ_<、)ヾ(´▽｀)

Or the somewhat more modern Airport novels. Stories just long enough to last an interstate flight…back when the average meat Popsicle could afford to fly (and when we had decent airlines)…
