Here’s something funny that happened a while ago:
I regularly watch a fitness content creator on YouTube, and she had a caption about a “gym crush”. As I am not a gym-goer, I thought this was some kind of fitness slang before I realized what it actually meant.
That’s still a part of what they meant to you. Once married is just once married.
They’re trying to make it complicated.

Yeah, in a way, true. But they need to write it in such a way that it makes sense and it isn’t milking things, or ruining what the people came to read about in the first place if you get me?

Unless, I dig out my old laptop and make sure that it’s not connected to the internet, and just type on it. But then, I need to make sure that I have a plan. I need to copy the Scrivener program across to it.
The Churroverse has plenty of shared universe standalone stories (outside of the bikers, Vaqueros, and Rickteo’s timelines). I also have a New Mexico, Texas, Ireland, and Floridaverse on the go. Those are minor in comparison to the Churroverse, and never really crossover. But they’re good to write about when you need a break from the Churroverse shenanigans.
Yeah, I would do that but the problem is, you have to post something on Wattpad (like a first draft) to get people interested in the world in the first place. You don’t have to take an oath with Wattpad. You can self-publish once you get enough interest or something.
The Churroverse has been a concept floating around in my head, since 2013, so almost 11 years. It originated when I made Ricky, and it expanded from there. It takes time to do something like that, and add together all of the elements and cultures etc.

Yes, definitely. Every time I go to the train station, or flight to Spain (that’s about 2h, 2h30 from where I am), the bookstore (WHS Smith, usually) is CHOCKED full of those.
ASDA (supermarket) has a whole pile of those as well and my grandma used to collect them cause they were easy reading and something for her to do to pass the time.
But yeah, idk how many Catherine Cookson books she had sitting around in her bookcase 
Nope, won’t work, as a lot of writers have found out the hard way. Wattpadders notoriously do not translate into paying customers. They’re used to reading for free, so once you start charging them for your books they’ll just move on to some other Wattpad book even if the quality is worse. You have to build your audience through social media, and Wattpad isn’t really a social network. Twitter/X, FB, IG, YouTube and TikTok are where you find your audience now. Wattpad is totally useless. ˓(ˊᘩˋ⋆)
Cheapos. But that makes a lot of sense, especially if they are young people who can’t really afford things, due to school/college etc.
All I can think of is a bunch of idiots taking me out of context, causing drama, and ruining my sales, even if I try my best to stay away from them and focused. I rarely go on social media, aside from this and like three other sites and don’t intend to.
I know, I hate social media too, and deleted all my accounts. But that’s what the experts say you have to do these days, so I guess my books may never get read. Still, series fiction seems to be the way to go–even tradionally published authors are turning their books into series, so I want to try it. Just having multiple books with similar covers makes you a little more visible to potential readers, so I think it’s a good idea to brand all your work regardless of whether it’s a series or not. ¯\_(ﭢ)_/¯
I’m looking at all the Gen X/Boomer writers’ Twitters for an idea of how to run one. I don’t want all the Gen Z/Millenial Drama crap on mine. Just simple, basic, professional, normal, and somewhat warn.

I’m not overly familiar with your work but if you want to build a series, always leave the customer wanting more. Maybe not of the same thing, but something a little bit like it. If you are completely out of ideas, though, I suggest that you take a look at Journey to the West and put your imaginaton to work. It will really stretch your mind, guaranteed.

Ah ha! I get it. Just looked it up on Wiki, and this story served as the inspiration for Dragonball, One Piece, and a number of other anime/mangas. That’s a good idea to use ancient mythology, folktales, etc. as a basis for something new and futuristic, especially a series. You may actually be on to something here, although I’m not really into China at the moment. I’m reading ancient Greek/Roman myths right now, but might be able to do something similar with that if I ever become more conversant with the myths. (=^ｪ^=)

I can’t STAND unseasoned food; plain potatoes, and sad-looking chicken without the skin just makes me want to vomit. And I put chipotle in my mac n cheese, along with sriracha sauce because it’s just plain. I also ask for sauce in restaurants, if they don’t have any.
I don’t know how people can live eating plain food by choice.
Probably lack good tastebuds or something.
