Haha, the last pack was…. (gotta think lol). It was one of the $5 kits, but before that was Cottage Living. I also went through a period where the Sims addiction wore off 
. But I’m getting back into the game by redoing all my towns. I also own all the packs, so it’s been fun remaking everything with the idea of playing. I’ve also been making my book characters in CAS since that’s what I’m better at over building.

i am a TERRIBLE builder, so i never built and instead just downloaded a bunch of really stunning cc builds, but god when i was actively playing (and not cas-only) i played like once a week because all of the custom lots added up and it took like an hour to load into my game, it was a nightmare;;; and that’s the way to go! i love making my ocs in sims, it’s absolutely how i visualize them lol. who cares if i can draw i have SIMS

Sims over drawing! XD Haha, I don’t use Cc anymore because of how long it takes, plus I think Sims has gotten prettier, so I can live without them. I’ve noticed that the Sims Gallery takes forever to save lots now though. I’ve been trying to figure out what’s going on, but I can’t find anything online or in Sims Discords about it

i cannot live without cc (at least for my sims because i personally absolutely do think they’re ugly LOL, but build wise i can) and i have a relatively beefy computer so even with 144+ GB of cc (getting close to 10k files) it loads pretty quickly, so you can only imagine how much i had of build cc to make it take an hour;;;
the gallery is only accessible with internet, so perhaps it’s a speed issue? if not that, the only other thing i’d think of is a server issue on their end that no one has mentioned yet, hmm…

No clue, but it’s driving me mad. I actually stopped playing for a nearly a year because it’s so bad, but I’m trying 🥲. I really need it all updated because I wanna get back into Sims YouTube, so this is my push to revive my neglected channel .
since i have a pirated pack i can’t actually use the gallery, but i found an alternative that i use that’ll work for you until that gets fixed! this is a browser extension and once installed, you can browse the gallery on your browser and download the files directly, and you’ll just need to slap that badboy into your tray files :]

i get that! it’s just if you were planning on mass-downloading a ton of lots, this could help speed it up! because instead of waiting painfully for each to download, you could just download like ten at once and be good to go

I paused playing with my family to remake everything because I wanna build them a new house. I’m not the best builder, but I don’t think I’m horrific . Honestly, I excel at interior decorating (in my opinion ).
you should look at cc builds on tumblr/pinterest for inspiration, it’s what i do and ignoring the inferiority feeling LOL it’s super useful! there’s some super gorgeous builds out there, but regardless if you do that i believe in u! it’ll look fantastic in the end i’m sure

i was super into making sim graphics also - i really miss it, actually;; the first two are just me posing my sims in-game and then editing it in photoshop, but the last two are entirely in blender, and i really miss using that program, it had so much freedom

And ahhh! Yours look like video game characters from games like Second Life 
. I think it’s the buttery smooth skin, haha. But so cool!
I wish I knew more about how to use photoshop. I just use basic backgrounds and cut my characters out to make them PNGs.

it’s a modeling program! all those build cc objects? made in blender. fancy 3d characters? sculpted and made in blender. that cool 3d animation you saw on youtube? probably blender! it’s free and has a decent learning curve, and the last year or so the sims tumblr community has taken to using it for their sims and i was definitely on that train ^^;;
and thank you! i personally prefer realistic sims rather than the cartoony look the game has~ and you should take some time to learn it! though i prefer blender now, sims + photoshop was what got me started and will always be a super fun thing to do :’’)

blender is definitely the way to go if you wanna bring them to life! (though i warned you, it has a pretty decent learning curve!)
i actually love stuff like that/her, one of my favorite games is detroit become human lol, i really like to literally watch my characters come to life ^^
