Haven’t been here for a while, but I’ve finally started writing again. I haven’t had much progress writing new chapters, but I’ve been editing the first chapter of my book and mostly cutting out extraneous parts while better connecting a certain part of my chapter that I’ve received a ton of feedback on for being a bit random into the thematic element of my first chapter. I’ve also been writing a bit in one of my dead books, just to test the waters a bit to see if I can revive it.

I can’t believe I actually finished this book. I haven’t properly finished a story since like 2013. But now that means one project down, three more to go! Though, I still have to write the blurb…

Lol, today I will be updating both of my books, and it’s all steam, steam, steam. A steamy Wednesday, heh.

And… I am finally in the tribal and magic portion of my story. Tentatively thinking I can delete one of the earlier chapters, in the start, that’s all character development and focuses on a character that is an important mother figure for the MC, but don’t really impact the story… not sure yet.
Also, kindda wanting to write something fresh too, but holding off. Editing comes first, and I have tons of it still. Probably about half-way now, so want to do a lot more tomorrow and over the weekend.

Today is one of those days when bowing to the empty seats is particularly hard. But, I will pull myself together and edit.
I also went through the potential first chapter for the book I want to write next the most atm. I like it, but I have so much doubt, I am still sticking to editing. Like, why are my books performing so poorly? Like, why?

I know that I said that I was going to be productive with writing this break, but honestly, I could not come up a single idea, and since our family got a free week trial of HBO, I decided too binge watch a series (The Leftovers) that has very similar themes as my novel in order to spark some inspiration in me, and I’d say it worked because I managed to get around 500 words done today and hopefully more in the coming days.

I was editing a lot. The other thing, I got advice on what project maybe prioritize, so I did a preliminary outline (not fifteen beats, just potential key events) and did some scene notes for the rewrite of the Regency story…
Overall, just writing on & surviving

I am getting cold feet on that fantasy story. I really don’t want to write fantasy, and the beginning is just not as interesting as the Android Love story.
