I find that dividing things per chapter helps me focus and creates achievable mini-goals, but I can see how it can be a part of editing process too
I’m sitting here writing this mess going, “This is insane, I’d NEVER do this…” forgetting that I did show up to college one Haloween in not much more for the whole day…and went to all my classes.
I forgot I did that.
I have found that trying to break the story into chapters, at least for me fractured the flow of the over all story. So once I’m done with it and have it all down I can go through and put in the chapter breaks when I’m not worried about the story as a whole. If that makes any sense? Lol
It does the same for me. It also forces me to put in filler to bolster the shorter chapters. I’ve added chapter breaks after writing, and it’s done better than I’m currently doing for natural breakpoints.
I’m forced to write more episodically when I go by chapter.

Yes, of course. Like I said, I can see that working as something to do while editing.
And, yay, I was able to clean up and post this chapter.

Too late. As long as he does my dishes, he can go nude, for all I care. Honestly, anyone cleans my kitchen besides me, I’d be trying to appreciate them…as long as I can deal with where they put everything.
If you feed Duke, he will wash dishes in the n00t.
Cajun cook. Lazy Cajun cook, but still a crabby middle aged woman who thinks the boy needs to eat.
Just pulled 2 heads of cauliflour out the oven coated in olive oil, garlic/onion powder, parmesan and Creole seasoning.
Can’t pass on that when they’re $2.50 a head. Often they are twice that.
Better than frying that way, btw. That can be painful, even if you’re used to mildly burning yourself on professional ovens.
Hope everyone is well. I haven’t been working on my current WIP. But been writing oneshot stories, so I can file them away as future novel potentials.
