My next book is gonna be a story with minimal plot.

Ok, now that makes sense, making sure you’ve got your main points aligned.

And… the figure skating season has officially began! Which means I spent my evening watching short programs from test skates, not writing. So today’s output is modest. Some corrections to chapters 15-16 and just started concluding scene to chapter 16.

I am a bit worried here, because next chapter reroutes Harris to investigate something instead of reuniting directly with Ablaze and having their big scene before entering Act 3 events.i will likely have question mark on that chapter to see if I need to eliminate it, it has a neat character development point and mystery story part, but it delays romance beat.

Oh, I also caught up on reading and edited one chapter for She Kills for eventual re-release.

Lol, I got up last night because instead of sleeping I thought about the beginning of chapter 17, so now I finished chapter 16 and have a solid inroad into chapter 17. I am going to try to keep it to one chapter, and then, then Harris FINALLY sees Ablaze again. I am nearing 35K so I will def finish at 50K, but I am worried about 60K for Avon Impulse minimum.

In less optimistic news, OUCH! After my updates, Trapped by the Mafia crushed so bad once they ended. Basically, within a week, the readership dropped to none (like from 100 to 2 individual readers), ranks are all gone. It’s terrifying how fast the algorithm buries you. It doesn’t help that the Engaged Readers that I had from feature last July now disappearing in droves daily. It makes me want to scream.

And, of course, the only book of my Wattpad is interested in is Winners Don’t Have Bad Days… I feel so sad. It’s an old book with very limited appeal. Argh.

idk how high you have to be to count as ranked but aac dipped right before this.

I figured it out though, a new follower told me aac got put in a homepage recommended section. now that the mystery is solved, i will enjoy it. with a healthy dose of suspicion towards wattpad.

keeps activity up on your account though, you can get some spill over to other books that way. You could also promote your other books in that one, if you don’t already.

I can’t, it’s Paid. My account is active because it’s the only form of writing social media I am comfortable with. I basically use it as a blog to talk to people, share thoughts on writing, talk up the books I spotted that are quality etc. My following is the only thing that’s growing nicely, but, unfortunately, it is hardly translates into reads.

At the moment, Rivals and Revels is the only book from my like 13 finished novels that gets reads on its own. Well, maybe not on its own, but because Historical Fiction has it on its reading list. But yeah… with Trapped just squashed this bad by algo, I’m screwed.

So, I am under strain to decide what to do after Fireman’s Girl again. The most obvious task is to finish Jilted by the Mafia on Radish. I know I have to. And, I will continue editing She Kills Elephants and Men for it with whatever crappy title I gave it on Radish to sound sexier. And that editing will take forever and ever.

But once I am done with Jilted, actually, instead of starting a new book, I should technically finish Tender Assassin. Maybe it will be good for my nerves because I know in advance how niche it is and I expect zero interest in it. It also might stand a slim chance at 2023 Watty. And, I will finally try gxg story, something I wanted to write forever. Unfortunately, it is based on Ukrainian sagas, so it is as politics-dependent as Lone Werewolf.
