I hate qriti f parts where I know before whriting it tbat its going to need huge edits. Ugh.
i hate knowing that’s what i have to look forward to when i’m editing, but it’s really helpful when i’m writing and feeling stuck to be able to go “whatever i’ll fix it in edits” and power through.
Decided to get a new cover for my story, I think they did a really good job at it!
Honestly, I am attempting to get better at writing sprints.
I am currently doing one with Abbie Emmons that came out today.
So, far I am doing alright, but I guess because that has just started.
I am at 529 words and on break till she starts back up with the next sprint.
The story I am working on is called A Ghost above the First Gods which is interesting title in the first place.
LOL!
I am not done with the chapter itself, but I am done with Abbie’s writing sprints.
I finished what I could and made it to the bitter end. I am so proud of myself because of that.
I am working on a prologue which is a bit long, but I honestly don’t care since I am just enjoying the ride.
I am going to stop where I left off then do some more tomorrow with another Abbie’s Write with Me video.
Nothing else to say!
I am actually doing a writing sprint.
This is so interesting and fun!
I’ve never done a writing sprint in the way I wanted before.
I am so happy for this amazing change.
one more chapter of actually editing and making things line up properly and then i can do the finale, which will go much faster! Hopefully!
When it’s done i’ll run it through a grammar check and slap it up on wattpad because i want to have it all uploaded in time for the watty’s. I’m not too concerned about the quality because… it’s wattpad. But i’m debating whether to put it through another developmental edit before I start looking for beta readers.
I think i would get the best results if i printed it off and did a hardcopy edit but i have to use the library for print jobs and it takes up so much paper and ink that I don’t want to do that unless i’m sure it will be the only time.
on the other hand, i could do a hardcopy edit now and order a proof to do a finally hardcopy later.
hm… decisions, decisions.
My handwritten story Arcane Proposal, from my understanding is I suppose what happened to bring Faust’s parents together.
Faust’s mother was a daughter of an Alchemist and a witch, while his father is a Necromancer belonging to a royal family of Necromancers, trying to perform their dark magic under the radar.
I am still wondering where the story will go next.
I haven’t written a short story by hand in a VERY long time.
Yet the words are just flowing out of me in a way that I can’t even fathom.
I am almost done with working on page ten and I will start page eleven for my short story that I am handwriting tomorrow.
I want to get back to my novel much later and I will do a writing session with Abbie playing in the background.
Tired, hungry, and need some fresh air, stat!
I finally edited. It’s a rewrite, so, it’s more accurate to say I wrote today.
Finally got through a vision/dream sequence that I was putting off.
I don’t mean to come off as weird, but I miss seeing you on here sometimes.
I mean I get you have some things that need your attention, but talking to you and answering your thread or you answer mine was fun.
I miss it a bit.
Again, I apologize for seeming like a weirdo.
What’s your short story about?
Awwwwwww you’re not a weirdo!
I’m glad I’m wanted here ![]()
I’ve actually been super active over on my thread asking and answering questions like a storm. You can pop in if you can answer world building questions. That’s mostly what we talk about over there.
What are you working on now? What happened to Alagossia and J…Jordyn? or something? I can’t remember all the character names XD
Handwriting a short story and typing another story.
Yeah, I know, how did I come to hand write a short story in the first place? Things just happen during changes.
Alagossia is no more, but Jorildyn is still doing her thing-ish.
LOL!
Jorildyn’s story is called The Ghost and the God Slayer.
While the short story is called Arcane Proposal.
Catalina is an Alchemist and a witch while Johann is a Prince and a Necromancer who ended up forced to marry each other so that their families can form a working partnership.
Yet, neither Catalina nor Johann have feelings for each other, but in the end the produce an heir who will run a criminal/dark magic empire after failing to pursue his own passion.
Ah yes, Jorildyn! I thought something was missing
So, what is the world you’re working on now?
One that doesn’t have a name…yet.
finally done this chapterrr, let’s goooooo
I am now at page thirteen of my short story Arcane Proposal.
So, I have seven pages left and things are getting pretty interesting in the story.
Johann’s father Balthazar wants to deepen the partnership between his family and Catalina’s family by having Johann and Catalina get married.
Yet Catalina isn’t even royalty or nobility or lavishly rich. Her family does have money and are secured, but they aren’t filthy rich or that close to it.
Can’t wait to further explore their actions in this story and more-so in the rewrite on Google Docs.
I am enjoying myself and is so proud!
I think I am going to focus more on the short story that I am hand writing, since I am getting to the good part of it.
I haven’t forgotten about the novel, which needs some planning and plotting, but I really want to focus on one thing at a time.
Yet, with the novel, I don’t really know what it is going to be about plot wise.
So, I need to push it to the side for a bit then focus on Arcane Proposal more.
Just saying that is weird because I am still shaken by the fact that I am handwriting a story. Like, who the hell am I?
LOL!
