Struggling Writers’ Daily Den: rant, share, complain, ask, daily progress thing (Part 2)

Finished chapter 1, part 1 of Project Dynasty at 3087 words. Really good rough draft.

Tomorrow I shall focus on Project Summoner. Friday belongs to Project Merellian.

Figured out how I’m going to separate books 1 & 2 of Lunar Heart, Shadow Bound.

So, basically, there are two moonstones. One, calling Pinti. The other, a mere legend. Pinti fails to achieve her goal, and chance meets Thereanbold who is the exact Sorcerer that crafted her pendant. There’s been some big change. She learns there might be a possibility about the legend being real. Might be another chance to achieve her goal. That’s the end of book one, The Moonstone. Because the second book is about the legend and Pinti still trying to achieve her goal.

Here I am. Still not writing.

I’m close to deciding on getting drunk and then writing? Something has to turn on my hyper focus for writing, SOMETHING!

(Disclaimer, I’m of legal age and can safely drink alcohol at home, no children in the house.)

Like maybe I just need to write the trash-iest trash fire to get the words flowing even if I have to be on a few beers.

(Another disclaimer, I’m a very light drinker. Not an “Alcy”. I drink like 2 bottles of beer at most at social gatherings.)

I’m unlocking energy to do random things like organize my pantry but I can’t F’N sit my butt down and write. I just stare at the page like I’ve completely forgotten how to write anything fictional.

I need to doing other writing things on my assigned Project Trio day.

I don’t want to go back to the story until the next assigned day, I rather take notes and wait.

Drinking to excess is always good for writing! But if that doesn’t work, then you might try these things too:

  1. watching YouTube videos about books or writing, even book reviews
  2. reading lit mags like:

And, yanno, millions of others. Sometimes reading about books and writing makes you want to do it. Anyway, good luck! (੭ˊᵕˋ)੭‧˚₊・*̥✧

We do have some, here.

But not all of the apes were fake, apparently. It’s not an easy story to verify, but there are those who insist that producers, upon wrapping their Louisiana shoot in fall of 1917, decided to set loose their on-screen monkeys rather than pay to ship them to wherever Hollywood shipped slightly used monkeys back in the day. For decades to come, rumors persisted of a band of wild monkeys hooting and hollering from the swamps in and around Morgan City.

The issue is hunters have talked about the screaming in the swamp.

On top of that, Cajuns have been in the international oilfield for all my parent’s life and possibly earlier. Which means that I have a real Ivory necklace carved into elephants. (And never wear because boy is that problematic.) Apes and monkys as pets is not that uncommon, and they do occasionally get loose. (One on the golf course disturbed my rooomate’s father while he was golfing, and was giving cops and wildlife people a hell of a time trying to capture him.)

They would survive in my area just fine. We have bears, pigs, cats (some possibly big), and gators with plenty of trees.

Hmm, maybe I should stop by the book store. I find that reading some really good or even really bad books usually inspires me. Especially when I read something and at the very start I’m like, WOW this is bad and it’s traditionally published? I can do better.

But for now, going to have to crack open the beer this weekend haha. I also have sake.

 I do like those things? Weirdly enough? This isn’t Dragon Ball, is it?
