I know. Kind of disappointing. xD Ohh, people :woman_facepalming: :joy:

Oh wow :eyes:  I kind of have that feeling too. Huh. I canโ€™t wait to find out. xD

me wherever in the world I am >.>

Ohhh. I think Iโ€™ve heard of that before, it sounds familiar. Iโ€™m trying to recall what Iโ€™ve heard but I forget :joy:

For sure. xD

Oh, niice.

Wow. Impressive. xD

:joy: Ah, thatโ€™s us when we get exposed to lower quality things first.

Oh yesss, I did read a couple of her stories and I was stunned. Itโ€™s amazing. She used second person so perfectly. Iโ€™m definitely planning to read more of her stories later.

Now thatโ€™s a good way of doing things. Good for you. xD As for me, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll ever have kids, haha.

Okay, yes, I remember that was my view on it as well when I was younger! I was like, huh, it feels wrong and itโ€™s so easy to mess up. It almost could feel childish if youโ€™re not used to it. But if itโ€™s done right, it really changes your perspective. I think I started to appreciate it more when our science teachers had us write lab reports (since, you know, the standard is to write in present tense) and I developed my present tense skills. And itโ€™s definitely hard to master since a lot of the forms donโ€™t exactly work and you have to think of a way around it. But I slowly got better and I loved the moments where I got to use my creative genius to figure out a way that didnโ€™t sound weird :joy: And I tried using it in stories, and combined with the style, I found that it had such a great effect. Itโ€™s awesome. But it depends on the story. Figuring out which POV to use is always a fun puzzle. Certain ones enhance it more. Really depends on the style and mood. I find that it works best with more poetic or formal styles.

Oh yes, I have. Ahem, The Island of the World. Thereโ€™s a reason I adore that book so much, you know. xD But if you read it, youโ€™ll know exactly what Iโ€™m talking about.
Have you?

Haha! Yeah, writing in that tense is a harder feat. Itโ€™s a challenge, but Iโ€™ve seen really good results come out of it, thatโ€™s why I love it so much. And I like challenges. xD But trust me, there are ways to make it natural. :suggestive: You should attempt it if you ever feel like it. Maybe as practice. IT WORKS AMAZINGLY WELL FOR DESCRIPTIVE PIECES THOUGH!!! And youโ€™re great at those! :eyes:

Okay, I donโ€™t even remember if I learned all of these. xD I remember objective, yes. I think. Seriously, grammar classes were such a long time ago.

Ah yes. Thatโ€™s kind of what I like about it too hehe. See, this is why I think third person omniscient in present tense would make for a powerful piece. xD Hmm, I feel like your voice actually comes out more in the descriptive pieces. Also, try doing prose poetry for practice. I feel like that would help develop it. Yes, that combination would definitely work. Youโ€™re good at those. Play to your strengths. xD

Oh yeah I had a bunch of those in my older works. And I mean, I even see typos and grammar errors in published books, which are supposed to have editors, so itโ€™s not a rare thing to occur. :joy:

I tried Googling it. Trust me, Iโ€™m pretty sure itโ€™s not what you have in mind :joy: even during the lecture, my instructor said itโ€™s not taught at all universities.

Oh yeah, I remember that. Present tense, third person, and passive voice.

Never heard of it until you mentioned it  Iโ€™ll see if itโ€™s free somewhere :eyes: until I get a job, which will be like three years from now, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll be able to buy books that arenโ€™t for school :โ€™)

The authorโ€™s name is Michael, right?

EDIT: it ainโ€™t free ;-; I guess Iโ€™ll just put off reading third person present. Iโ€™ll just stick to third person past. Itโ€™s my thing :joy: Iโ€™ve been wired to read and write in third person past :joy:

Thanks for saying Iโ€™m great at descriptive!

Okay, Iโ€™ll try it just once, and maybe a few years from now after all my other projects are done :joy: I still need to improve my third person past :triumph: sometimes itโ€™s decent, other times I reread my stuff and I go like โ€œyeah I was very obviously stuck or in a rushโ€ :joy:

Oh, does it? I never noticed. What does my โ€œvoiceโ€ sound like? :joy:

Oh Iโ€™ve looked up prose poetry, and I was intimidated. I canโ€™t even handle โ€œregularโ€ poetry, Iโ€™m still working on prose, and combining the two together? recipe for disaster :joy: I canโ€™t even write a sonnet. Iโ€™m still stuck on it. Itโ€™s the iambic pentameter :woman_facepalming: I can do the pentameter but not the iambic. I mean, I get what they mean by iambic, but how do you determine whether a certain syllable is stressed? Itโ€™s hard enough to find rhymes, and now I have to focus on syllables and their stresses :joy:

Maybe I will once I finish my current poetry collection and its sequel (yes, I have a sequel collection planned :joy:) and another planned collection of sonnets. After Iโ€™m comfortable with poetry, then Iโ€™ll tackle prose poetry.

but then again, my brain has a penchant for wanting to write things that I want to put off >.> why else am I working on BWT instead of Book Three? :joy:
