Oh you can do that? If possible, I’d like a group tag called ‘Colosseum’

Good deal! I’ll make it right now and you should get a notification shortly of being added/being the owner of it.

Okay! Thank you

I’ve added it but it occurred to me you might not get that notification after all. Anyway it’s @Colosseum and you go to Wacky Writers' Forum to see it

I’ve been fiddling around with it anyway, thank you!

Any chance we can swap the order of the icons so the social media links (Twitter, Discord) are together? The shop icon always seemed out of place to me sitting between the two of them.

Um… so some time ago you created a light/dark version of the website. I had cleared out the data and cache from my chrome app and had to relog in. It put the website back in light view. I was wondering, is the dark version still available?

Yes, it is - the web browser may be picking up settings from your phone overall. If you go to your preferences and “Interface”, you should see something like this:

You just need to make sure your theme and “dark mode” settings are set to dark mode and not defaulting to light.

Thanks

Hello! I didn’t see a category or tag, if you will, about Playlists? I remember in the old forums there were people who would create Playlists for people’s stories as a service and I loved that little section. Is there a way to bring that service here as well? Thanks in advance.

Hi

I noticed that in the magical library, there’s a “Share your writing resources and guides here”. I think it would be helpful for other writers if that one isn’t refreshed every week.

While sharing poetry or other fiction books and refreshing that every week allows other users to come on the top of the list, resources or guides are often not looking for attention. They aren’t there for exposure, but to help other writers.

It would be nice if that thread remained unrefreshed. Some people might want to revisit the thread but find that the resource book is not there that week because the user forgot to upload it.

The form also doesn’t really apply to this genre. Subgenres, target audience, mature (yes or no), and trigger warnings might not always apply. I have a fantasy world building resource book and it doesn’t matter what the audience is and I have no subgenre. Maybe a different format can be introduced.

Title, book cover, and perhaps the description of the book, and the link. That’s my suggestion

Anyway, Idk if it’s possible to set it up in a way that makes resource books easier to find. Maybe resources and guide books should be in the Writing Support in Writing Resources as a pinned tab so that people can find resource books easily.

Those are just my thoughts and thanks for considering

Ooh, is it possible to create a birthday list, like on the old forums? That way people can receive birthday greetings.

I’ll talk to our librarian and see what she thinks.

It is, I’ll just have to make sure it’s possible to turn it off on a per-user basis in case some people don’t want to share their birthday.

Sounds good, thanks!

Hi there! I was wondering if we could have the option to be notified of reactions to our posts, like how we can be notified of likes?

I will see if there’s something I can come up with, but that might be a limited capability by the developer. I will check though.

We allowed people to type in their own originally, but had a few people abuse it. But I think it’s worth revisiting because you’re right - we need more and I’ve heard that from a few people lately. I’ll set it to allow custom input later tonight and we’ll keep an eye on it. If it’s abused again, we’ll just gather the inputs from people using it legitimately and make sure they’re included in the list.

Yes it does, which is why we take it so seriously. It’s updated now, if you’d like to change yours. If you have any problems, let me know.

@CJtheSiteWizard I’m sorry for being a moan about the interface but is there a possibility that you can have an option about the speech bubble colour in dark mode? Like dark speech bubbles as opposed to the light ones. Or make a new theme with dark speech bubbles? Sorry but it’s a bit annoying in the dark mode with light speech bubbles.
