As for their names, each god has hundreds of names, so the names I picked were simply what one culture calls them. As for why four of them have names starting wtih A, it’s probably because they’re imagined as one family. Aelinor, Ajúr and Anin are brothers, and Azir is Aelinor and Ajúr’s son. Mithral was formed from the body of Azir after he was sliced in two by Morthaur-as-Tyrant (another god), and Kaal-Ei is pretty clearly an incarnation of the greater Kaal.

So, I realized maybe I should’ve explained more of what I meant with my question How did you, the author, the creator of the stories, come up with the names? Did you take inspiration from real-life cultures and languages? Did you make them up from the top of your head? Did you intentionally decide to use all the “A“ names to make it clear they’re a family?

The Sea of Chaos is basically the primordial quantum soup that fills the universe. It’s basically a sea of positive and negative particles that fizzle in and out of existence at all times. Fun fact: it actually exists IRL too

That’s cool, and I think I’ve heard about something along those lines when I was watching space-related science docs on Nat Geo and BBC YouTube.

Now I’m wondering if there are some special humans who can see them naturally.

I wonder that, too, and what would that mean? I haven’t thought about the lore of angellics much because the story focuses on demons. I only world build as far as I have to write for the story, after all If I decide to write about someone who can naturally see angellics, then I would think more about them.

Honestly, angellics seem too tame and calm to be good story fodder. I would have to do something drastic to make myself want to write about them

Yep, that’s what it’s related to. Technically, all my gods are IRL entities. Morthaur and Kaal exist IRL, and affect you whether you believe in them or not, because they are natural phenomena. That’s how the Sea of Chaos also works.

As for why it’s the Golden Egg, it’s because it’s a real concept in Hindu mythology.

I think that means they are somewhat special, maybe their parents were angelics or demons, or perhaps they have a special fate.

It’s like a massive underground world with often fiery skies, but a lot of the light doesn’t reach the land. There’s stalagmites and stalactites, and vast areas of black rock with rivers of lava, and fire pits, and there’s just these extremely tall mountains of black rock reaching up to the land of the living. Demons are constantly fighting and scrambling up these rocks to get to the top.

There is one massive, gargantuan black mountain rock with an ornate carved throne fit for the underworld king. That’s where he sits most of the time and observes. He’s so high up that he can see everything.

I imagine he’s on a slight hill and the Underworld is like on an angle. The king is in the highest point and then if he looks out, he can see everything below him including the huge jagged mountains swarming with demons. Each demon prince also has their own throne from which they can see everything they own and command their legion from. But behind them is the king’s mountain.

Dang sounds like both a super cool and super depressing place What are all the different areas used for? Do they have a purpose?

It’s too bright.

Other than existing somewhere beyond the clouds, I have no idea. It might be upside down. And the idea of “fallen“ just comes from “falling from grace“ or “falling“ as in “failing“. Or maybe someone wrote “the failen“ and someone else thought the “i“ was an “l“ and it became “fallen“. Who knows? I just thought of that. It would be funny if an angellic mistake was what created “fallen“.

Too bright tracks I like the idea of upside down, that sounds pretty cool. The typo theory would be funny

His name is Glint. He craves human connection, and is also really, really scared of people finding out who he really is, and he’s also healing from terrible trauma. He’s waiting for all his powers to return and it’s taking a really long time. Meanwhile, he’s having to serve a corrupt Lady ruler, being abused by her, and hiding his identity, when actually he is the actual ruler of the land.

He can only challenge her once his powers have returned (and yes, he eventually is able to challenge her).

Dang now I’m wondering how that challenge goes

What does she think about all her powers? She has so many. Without any of the typical Amneris humor, deep down inside, what does she think of it all? (or maybe deep down inside, there still is Amneris humor? )

I guess you could say she’s beyond caring that much. Amneris has had so much power for so long, she’s fully aware she’s overpowered and the extent of which her power could reach. She’s not thrilled with what the outcome will be and has actually seen it (yay time travel), but yeah just beyond caring most of the time. Other times she’s scaraed of herself and her abilities but that doesn’t come up because she refuses to let it come up

Are there a lot of these around? Who makes them? Would you be able to say how much power these can hold? And how long can they hold the power?

How can you tell if there’s power inside? How do you get it out? Can you get it out by crushing the thing?

There are a LOT of things made by a lot of different people. Remember, Creation is effing huge Some can hold power indefinitely, some shatter if they take too much, some are only temporary. There’s no hard and fast rules on that one. Telling if there’s a power inside depends on who holds it. Sometimes you can see / feel / hear the energy. Other times you’re clueless. Getting it out can be done by breaking, yes, but also through other things like spells, accidents and dumb luck.

Same here. Resurrection is possible if you have a demon or angellic, but it’s forbidden because it goes against the order of life and death, essentially. And if a demon or angellic does it, and they’re found out, they get the side eye from everyone and possibly punished.

Yup, there’s punishment here too, thought most of the time those who do the punishing don’t care enough to actually do anything. Depends how they feel at the time it’s done tbh. But yeah, resurrection magic is nasty stuff for my characters mainly because it’s been used on most of them already

Who are the twins in your story?

Mainly Amneris and Nakia but there’s also a few others mostly in Hathor’s story (eg Maddie and Connor, Rhea and Ajax)
