“Did he not make it out alive?” Yessei shifts her weight. “Does this thing have any known weaknesses, or should I go in guns ablaze?”

“Really?” She tilts her head. “Dak Phai is pretty common where Yessei lives, and Ansi is just short for Yenansi.” She mutters something about female Vampires all having names that start with Ye- lol. “Yeah, Dak Phai and Ansi call themselves the Universe Explorers. Only Báj Yè the Time God would know where they are right now.” She shrugs. “Why don’t I give them a call? Ansi’s got brawn enough for two.”

“Yeah, the more the merrier, I say.” Hailey nods.

Mr. Raven says how he has some things out back in a wheelbarrow, paint, tape, you know, the works. He steps out to go get them.

The skeleton totally hears the animal whines and turns… It spots the pup with its socket eyes and lets out a girly af shriek XD.

Dee rubs her chin. “Y’all don’t have cars? What century are you even from?”

“…My author said it sounded like you were about to break out into rap.” He blinks.

Stardust steps out while pulling a flip phone out of her pocket. She speaks in a foreign language (Katla Khi) before she steps back in, muttering in a second foreign language (Knál Bnú) about how Dak Phai and Ansi get themselves into the strangest places. “Yeah, they’ll be here, but we’ve got about ten minutes until they do. How can I help in the mean time?”

“Move that furniture out!” Mr. Raven calls.

Hailey looks around at the pile of… Yeah, it’s basically firewood. “…He’s calling this furniture?” She makes a face. “I better not get a splinter or I’ll cry like a little bish.” She adjusts the straps of her overalls and gets to work, crouching down and grabbing stick after stick.

Stardust gathers a hefty bundle in her arms. “Maybe Dak Phai has an invention for that,” she snickers. “Sometimes it seems like she’s got an invention for everything these days.”

“She actually saved me from the monster…” Sable murmurs. “And we don’t know any of its weaknesses. That’s why I want a plan-”

“Wait a minute,” Casus says. “You don’t suppose this is why me and my sister had to come here? What the visions meant?”

Amethyst also starts helping with moving the stuff.

“Huh, that actually sounds like one of my friends,” she says to Stardust.

Pearl jumps at the shriek, but keeps a hold of Dot, who yips.

She notices the skeleton.

“Dot, you can’t chase the skeleton,” she says, and the pup proceeds to give puppy dog eyes.

Meanwhile, the others: “There’s a skeleton??”

“So, um…about that…what are cars?” Isaac asks nervously sweating

“The place I’m from is called Neocrithas,” he continues.

“I mean…I have actually tried to at one point. I…did a terrible job-”

The king and queen are now moving around up on the stage :eyes:

Yessei pulls out a bag of popcorn from behind her back, stuffing it in her mouth one kernel at a time lol.

“Also the inventive type? Curious, always tinkering?” She chuckles. “Well, at least Dak Phai’s found her calling now.”

Twister and Gravel stare at her in confusion.

“Could be…” Sable murmurs. “Oh! She’s actually in the other room right now-”

“She’s here?!” Casus yelps.

Amethyst nods.

“Pretty much. We used quite a lot of them on our adventures, actually.”

“She’s a scientist then?” Hailey continues to clean while looking between the ladies and then thinks about it. “Ooo, idea!” She pulls out a pocket knife.

The skeleton is literally a pile of rattling bones in the corner from fear. :joy:

“Oh, that’s Guts. He drives one of the lizard buses,” Lockie explains as her boyfriend feeds her.

“What do you mean what are cars? You’re telling me y’all only have horses?” Dee’s eyes go wide.

“Woah, seriously? That sounds like a pain in the butt,” Denzel chuckles and makes his new friend a plate of his weird concoctions to share.

“Oh, what’s happening now?” Pat’s attention is back on them for the moment.

Amethyst points at the knife.

“What’s that for?”

“Lizard buses?” Pearl and Sage ask the same time.

“Um…yes?” Isaac asks.

“Oh, they’re getting the babies ready for everyone to see,” Jacob explains.

“Cloning,” she said and cut her finger. She dripped a few droplets onto the stone ground and watched them sizzle up like bloody bubbles.

“Yeah, you all missed the giant lizards and scarabs and griffins,” Geo shares and totally eats a noodle that leads into a kiss with his girlfriend.

“Woah… Do you have planes?” Denzel wonders. “Wait. Do you know what that is?”

“Twins?”

Thorn and Sage: happy sighs at remembering griffins

Aiden: I totally need to tell the captain about the beetles if I ever see him again

Dan: just observes everything quietly

And the rest are still eating-

Dot gave up trying to get away from Pearl, and puts his head on her arm cutely.

Isaac: Not those, either :sweat_smile:

Jacob nods.

The elves are all leaning forwards in their seats :eyes:

“Who is she,” Yessei asks through a full mouth purely for comedic effect before the bag disappears :joy:

Stardust shrugs right as a flash of light appears outside, followed by a knock at the door.

“Hey, Stardust?” Dak Phai bangs on the door as Stardust opens it, revealing two people

Dak Phai, standing in front, is a shorter woman with brown wings tucked behind her back, wearing sweat pants and a hoodie. Ansi stands behind her, stretching her thick arms across her chest.

“I heard something needs moving,” Ansi chuckles.

“Przygoda!” Sable calls. “Your brother’s here!”

There’s a thump from the other room, then a woman with blond hair that has pink rings all over rushes into the main room.

Amethyst waves to them.

“Oh, hello!” She smiles and waves. “Any tips on removing the monster in the cave?”

Ansi waves. “Man,” She murmurs, stepping inside. “Place is a real fixer-upper.”

“I won’t be much help here,” Dak Phai chuckles, flexing her arm. “Not much meat on my bones.”

Stardust shrugs. “Just start picking up sticks and getting them out, I guess.”

Guts looks at the doggo. “You talk? Why am I not surprised?” It totally looks like he’s rolling his non-existent eyes.

“Okay… Are you guys like capable of flight at all?” Dee quirks a brow while the short man picks at a piece of food stuck between his braces.

“Do we learn their names now?” Patrick whispers.

Haha, love it.

“Yes, yes! Hello, lovely ladies.” Mr. Raven gently nudges a second Hailey out of the way… But the way there’s now two Haileys looking at the group!

Once that finishes, Przygoda glances at Yessei.

“I don’t know for certain, but I found a book hidden under some other things, and it mentioned something I think we might be able to use.”

“It would actually be real helpful if Cerium was also here,” Amethyst murmurs, then looks surprised to see the second Hailey.

“Well, I didn’t used to talk,” Dot yips. “But I ended up here and now I can. I chased some bug before I ended up here.”

“Well, the pegasi and alicorns are tame enough for us to ride.”

“Yes, they’ll announce the names before showing them to us,” Jacob whispers back.

The second Hailey doesn’t say anything and starts helping the first clean.

“Who is that?” the first asks.

“But not the giant scarabs?” A mummy walks by with its body wrapped in biteable body wrappings.

“The what?” the two say in unison.

“Princes or princesses?”

“Should we go see the book, then? Where is it?” Yessei wonders how similar it is to the spellbooks she knows.

“Wait, so that’s not your twin,” Ansi asks, pointing at the second.

Stardust scowls, trying to figure out what’s going on.

“Can’t say I’ve had to deal with doppelgängers before,” Dak Phai murmurs, eyes darting between the two Haileys.

“Oh, it’s in the other room,” Przygoda says. “I’ll go get it. It’ll probably be useful, in case we forget what the artifacts it mentions are called or look like.”

“I’d like to know too,” Amethyst nods. “I guess you didn’t clone yourself.”

“No, it was a small bug…” Dot says, then trails off while eyeing the wrappings :eyes:

“Pegasi and alicorns. Like…horses with wings, and then unicorns but with wings,” Isaac explains.

“Both. One’s a boy and one’s a girl,” Jacob explains.

The king is now speaking in an anchient tongue :eyes:
