I…think I need tips on using digitally drawn art as a cover background. It’s my own art. I did not plan this well. I had to adjust the coloring once I got it onto PicMonkey. And then I had the darnest time with the font.
It’s supposed to be urban high fantasy with a police mystery.
Idk what I’m doing. I’ve never drawn art and made that a cover before. The font and the hand-drawn-esque of the background is just…and I’m horrible at lettering so I couldn’t do the text by hand

You could try screencapping the title, tracing over it in a drawing program (obvs not to like, steal the font, but to add that hand lettered vibe) and then place that as a png over the background?
here be the first covers I’ve made since…november? eeesh
the second one was just me messing around with vector shapes. it’s a bit shite. and also the wrong size because it’s meant to be box art for a game, not a WP cover.

It’s a free font for commercial purposes, but I guess I could try to trace it and then stylize it myself. Hmm…but then, it might not…idk I’ll have to try that. Thanks for the suggestion
