I finally finished 0 draft. Need to edit. Document stands at 21,552 words, currently. I’m hoping that I can cut out some dithering, to get that a little tighter, but it’s perfectly fine, this way.

21k’s not bad at all. You might need to keep them because Wattpad’s word count might put it below 20k because it’s weird like that. I’ve noticed descrepancies between Word and Wattpad’s counters.

It’s 2 different counts on the phone and on the computer, as well. If I do get rid of the meaningless, there’s plenty I’ve not written, to fill it in. It’s more worries about Ch 17 being within the 20K since it’s the heavy enforcer of the prompt, right now.

Sheep or deer trapping their car on the way to the date. A scary van on the side of the road has a stranded dude who might attack them as much as needs help. A wreck and gunfight sweeps past them, forcing evasive maneuvers out of the driver. They find a common game they like to play to dudebro about.

Since I’m over 2k, I’m wondering if I should submit it already or wait.
I don’t expect to do any major revisions right now. I want to write more first.

We have this issue every time. As long as you got your 2K, and can send it in, you’re good to give it a break. It’s the 8K mark where you really test the story out, and the last 12K where this can be hell.

Currently, have not turned in anything. 1 edited through ch6 written to end, 1 edited to ch3, a 3rd written through ch3. Editing starts this afternoon, maybe?

Yeah, I got my 2K. The problem is, I don’t want a masc-fem opposite personalities forced dynamic in this story, lol. But it needs some drama and pizzaz that can be wrapped up in about 25k without overcomplicating things to the point where I am fed up with the plot haha.
