It depends on how far away the planet is. If it’s like where earth is, it would be totally destroyed. Like, turned to rock destroyed. If it was further away, it might survive but the conditions on said planet would be pretty difficult. It’s also highly unlikely any living thing would survive because of the radiation generated by a supernova.

This sounds like something similar to what @JellyGhost once talked about. I could be mistaken… but I think their world’s setting was Mesopotamian based.

Classical Studies! Basically the study of mediterranian civilizations from the classical and pre-classical periods.
Okay cool, so the main river vital to the Roman Empire would be the Tiber/Tiberius. Rome (the city) was founded on the banks of the Tiber. Another other significant river is the Trebia, this one is up near the Alps and during the second Punic War the Romans were surprise attacked here by the Carthagians and lost. Quite an ego kick since they hadn’t previously lost a battle.
I can’t think of any other rivers that have been covered but there is Lake Trasimene (Carthagians jumpscared a Roman army into the lake and drowned them). And the seas around Sicily and Carthage would be significant if only because Romans were forced to adapt a naval force and invent the Corvus to conquer the Carthagians.
I don’t know the etymologies of the rivers, but you shouldn’t have any problems finding it if you just search [river name] etymology.
