Let me write something because I want to start on chapter one then when I am on break just jot down notes for my story.
Time to stop wasting so much—alright I am talking too much…goodbye.

Thank you. No time to waste.
Gotta get going.
I usually swing back every day, to clean up previous text, then the writing goes naturally continuing from that. Heh, I never really stop editing.
im a freeflow writer, or as some people say a panster idk bout that
Right there with you, on that part.
Well, I think for the most part, I’m quite close to finishing the chapter. I obviously have a lot to write to actually finish the chapter, but I’ve finished the two pieces of dialogue that I was struggling on, consisting of a tough father-son talk where the dad tries to make amends and only somewhat succeeds and the love interest lightly flirting with my MC alongside with more serious talk. I would totally nearly finish the chapter this weekend if only there weren’t finals, but sadly, I’ll be trapped indoors grinding out chemistry problems in preparation for the Monday finals. Admittedly, I’m in a strong position going into the finals, so I may have an opportunity to sneak in 30-40 minutes to make some progress on the chapter.
Those risks will definitely end up with me being homeless and in debt, so I’m good, lol. I’ll continue to live under my mother’s roof. There are still places in the GTA (the Greater Toronto Area) that I can apply to. Finding a job is hard because I don’t want to be as stressed as I was during my previous one (kitchens are inherently stressful so I still expect long hours and a fast pace but I’m not working in one where I work 12+ hours with practically no breaks and having to do ten times the work because we were understaffed…).
If I can find a kitchen where the pay is equal or better, the hours are good, and management is at at least decent, I’ll be extremely grateful.
Having a safety net of family is a very different situation than being a father with kids in an oil bust.
But he contacted the church up north and slept in their building until he could rent an apartment and send for us.
It’s been a long time since I’ve checked in. Looks like this thread isn’t as busy as normal, I only had about 230 message notifications xD I had gotten that amount over a week of inactivity in the past. Hopefully everyone’s doing okay.
I just finished my first semester back at uni this week (stopped when Covid hit - online classes are terrible), and now I have a solid month to do whatever I want, since my job probably won’t start until January. So… maybe I’ll make some more progress on my new book, which is turning out way differently than I expected so far but that’s what I love about writing.
Hopefully this means I’ll be more active here too X3
School seems to slow down everything.
Tori!
Good to see you here
Feeling…unmotivated.
Frustrated
Maybe I need to make my project a self-NaNoWriMo. Has anyone tried this? Setting yourself up to write 50k in a month?
It really does! So time consuming T_T
It’s been years, but I can still almost feel the stress of college.
I’ve done similar self-goals like that! I usually just make my own spreadsheet on Google Sheets to input and track it. It’s not as pretty, but it works.
That’s my current one
That’s cool
And looks so organized!
It also looks like math and my brain is saying “nope!” XD
It took me a solid hour to remember how to use the commands from my statistics class like 4 years ago to get it all set up
but now I just mindlessly copy-paste my word count in and everything automatically updates and it’s super nice.
You are a sorceress then ![]()
Ahh I wish! Then I could conjure up more words to my book
I’m so behind on my goal.
